Ob(ject)struct is an AV performance collaboration between Rebecca Ruth Borrer and Jen Kutler which explores the ways in which bodies and electronics interface, depend on, and ignore each other. The piece examines the dwindling separation between electronics and people with electro-human intimacy and emotional/electrical connection.
Using hand made electronic interfaces, audio and video are generated and manipulated by sharing water, discerning speech and electro-human sex and uses digital media to map the liminal spaces surrounding the deep and frequent emotional exchanges between heart and tech.
Performed at the Confetti Machine 2018 Realtime Media Festival
